Great Weekend
June 21, 2009
Last last night until yesterday was the highly anticipated Diliman Invasion. The Diliman chapter of Pascalogs were supposed to be invaded by the UPLB chapter, the DLSU chapter, the UST chapter and UPM chapter. Alas, only the UPLB and the DLSU people came. But that was enough. We had so much fun!
We (Bords) were supposed to meet them at TriNoMa, because we told them to just take the mrt and get off at North Ave, which is just outside (or is it considered in?) TriNoMa. But they went straight to UP. After meeting them, we went back to the apartment so they could drop their bags before we head off somewhere to eat. We ended up staying longer than we planned. Then we went to Technohub and ate at Yellow Cab at around 8:30pm. We were kind of arguing where we wanted to eat, and I was getting more and more hungry and annoyed by the second, so I said, “Sige, Yellow Cab na lang, ako na bahala.” The eruption of joy or whatever that followed my statement was deafening.
After eating (di masarap yung four seasons because of the anchovy part, but the meatlovers pizza is just heavenly, as always), we went to Timezone. It was, to say the cliche word, FUN! We were laughing and shouting as we were playing Pam Pam Paradise (did I get the title right?). It was around 11:30pm when we went out of Timezone. We were waiting for N, who’s coming from DLSU in Dasmarinas, so we went to Mini Stop in Thub (t-hub) to buy drinks (syempre may inuman!—pero di ako uminom ha). We sat in front of Mini Stop, as in on the ground because the little tables were all taken. Then we talked about the presentation that we supposedly prepared. The elbi people were confident, too confident in my opinion. We Bords decided to convene in order to talk about our presentation, which we haven’t exactly practiced, and which some of us doesn’t even know. N was so late because they (she was with a suitor) had dinner in TriNoMa and then got lost coming to thub.
It was 1am when we finally made it home. Kwentuhan, inuman, biruan, tawanan. Then we presented. We UPD people went first, on the insistence of the UPLB people. Ours was funny! We made a spoof of BOF. Theirs was… uh, let’s not talk about it. We were disappointed with their performance because we expected theirs to be really funny. They have G and K, for pete’s sake. They have brilliant people who have brilliant ideas when it comes to presenting something fun, and who doesn’t care about their dignity. Oh well. Maybe next time. And I hope there will be a next time. After that, the energy went down a bit. Then G performed the Black Magic on Lovelle. That got us going, and the energy got back. They switched the lights off and the lamp on, turned the music up, and started dancing. Parang mga sabik sa party daw. Mukha nga. Or mga lasing lang. Buti na lang di kami sinuway nung mga kapitbahay. They must’ve realized that it was a one time, big time kind of thing.
They went to bed one by one. I have a class at 8:30 in the morning so I didn’t drink. And my stomach was hurting again, maybe because I was so hungry when we ate, so nalipasan ng gutom tapos nabigla, kumabaga. At 6:30, I thought I’d sleep, but I saw that I have a message from hon, so I replied. When he said he’s still online, I went online and we talked. I made him wait while I took a bath, so that we were talking while I was preparing for school. At 8am, I left and went to school. I got home at 11:30 to find most of them gone. The people who were left were still lazing around. Since I was also going to Muntinlupa, I decided to wait for them so we can go home together. We ended up eating “brunch” at 3 in the afternoon.
It was great seeing them again. Our get-togethers are always fun; we’re always happy together, regardless of the time, or place. It’s good to have friends like them. I don’t know when we’ll be able to do this again, though. N’s saying that we should visit her next time, but I don’t know when that would be possible. We’re all going to be busy, and she’s so far away. Imagine going to Dasmarinas from QC after a whole week of school. Nah. Maybe we’ll go in October, during our sembreak. We’re still looking back, remembering, and trying to never forget. We’re going to continue these get-togethers. I’ll make sure of it; it’s the least I can do before I go. Anyway, that’s years from now.

At the jeep going to UP before we go back to Munti, N asked M for a hanky, because it was so hot and she needs something to wipe her forehead with. I offered tissue, since I always bring one those pocket sized packs. She said thanks, and this:
N: Bakit ang bait mo sa ‘kin ngayon? Di mo na ako inaaway. Nung high school kung makapang-away ka…
Me: Bumabait na nga daw ako… (thinking of what G, who was sitting beside me, said months back)
N: Oo nga. Bakit kaya? Epekto ba yan ng pagkakaroon ng boyfriend?
Me: *laughing*
N: Maganda epekto ng lalaki sa’yo. Ambait mo na eh…
Me: *still laughing* Pero di naman kailangan ng lalaki sa buhay para maging mabait *feminista mode*
See?

Sumakit katawan ko. Nagsimula ata ‘to dahil sa PE na hatakan at takbuhan. Tapos tumakbo pa ako, at umakyat ng eight flights of stairs after ng PE, para sa next class ko na nasa 4th floor. And then nung gabi, nag-Timezone kami at nagbasketball ako. Nakatatlo o apat na games ata ako, so times two pa dahil two rounds per swipe ng card. Pam pam paradise pa. At yung pagod ko commuting from QC to munti and back on the same day. Wala pa yatang one hour yung itinagal ko sa Munti. Whew. Pero masaya. And that’s what’s important. XP

One week into the sem and I already want to have a break and relax. So exhausting!
